Soon to be published: STUCK

I am nearing completion on my latest book, STUCK.

It's not a continuation of the Justice saga, but is some of my best writing ever, IMO. Sometimes a story demands to be written, and this one was like that for me. I started it during the winter holidays and have been writing on and off ever since. I've got a firm date with my initial editor for next week, 7/21/16, so the first draft must be done by then!

Once it's been edited, I plan to enter it into Amazon's Kindle Scout program. If you've been following my work for any length of time, you may recall that my last book, Son of Justice, was entered into the program and selected for publication. Once it's ready for the program, you can expect to see an email headed you way with a request for nominations. Like SoJ, if you nominate the book, and it's eventually selected by Kindle Press, you will receive a free copy, in advance of the release date. Not a bad way to get an early copy, for free!

Here's the blurb:

Ben Watkins has a gift. He calls it Dream-Hiking.

When Ben sleeps, his dreams deliver him into the mind of a person in crisis. He sees what they see, feels what they feel. He understands his host's fears, emotions and desires. When their crisis reaches its peak, Ben receives a push that gives him control of the person for five minutes. Ben is used to the phenomenon, and uses his time to help his host select a path, navigate the crisis. It's a responsibility that nature, God, fate, or. . . whatever, has put upon him, and he takes it seriously.

For years, Ben's dream-hikes have been restricted to the five minute limit. But now he's woken up inside Billy Shoe, the drummer for one of the most famous bands in the world, Junk Mustard. The needle hanging from his arm, the tattoos on his hands, and the incessant pounding on the dirty stall door are just the beginning. When he wakes up still inside Billy hours later, sick and in need of another fix, Ben realizes the five minute limit has been lifted. Suddenly, he's. . .

Stuck.

And here's an advance look at the current cover. Let me know your thoughts on the cover design. I still have time to change it, if needed!
